Service animal policy
Riders who use a service animal are welcome on every Harvey Taxi ride. Drivers must not refuse a rider, cancel, or charge more because of a service animal.
For riders
- You don't need to show papers, a vest or an ID card for your service animal.
- A driver may ask only two questions: whether the animal is needed because of a disability, and what work or task it has been trained to do.
- Keep your service animal under your control during the ride.
- If a driver refuses you, cancels because of your service animal, or asks for an extra fee, please report it.
For drivers
- You must accept riders with service animals, even if you have allergies, fear of animals, or a no-pets preference.
- Pets and emotional-support animals are not service animals; you may decide whether to accept them.
- Refusing a service animal can lead to removal from the Harvey Taxi Driver app.

Service animal policy
Riders who travel with a service animal tell us before they book, and we send the request to drivers who have chosen to take those rides. Once a driver accepts, the ride goes ahead with the service animal.
For riders
- When you book, answer "Travelling with an animal?" with Yes, a service animal. Your request then goes only to drivers who take rides with service animals, so finding a driver may take a little longer.
- You don't need to show papers, a vest or an ID card for your service animal.
- A driver may ask only two questions: whether the animal is needed because of a disability, and what work or task it has been trained to do.
- Keep your service animal under your control during the ride.
- If a driver who accepted your ride refuses you, cancels because of your service animal, or asks for an extra fee, please report it. If no driver is available, contact support and we'll help.
For drivers
- Each time you go online in the Harvey Taxi Driver app, you choose the services you'll offer for that session, including rides with a service animal and, separately, rides with a pet or emotional-support animal.
- You receive a rider's request only if you chose the matching service when you went online, and the offer shows that the rider has a service animal or a pet.
- Once you accept a ride marked with a service animal, you must not refuse the rider, cancel or charge more because of the animal.
- If a rider arrives with a service animal they didn't mark when booking, contact support before cancelling.
- Pets and emotional-support animals are not service animals.
